Putting Faith back into Education
A learning environment based on Christian values
At Our Redeemer Lutheran School, teachers work closely with each child to create a strong foundation for life. Every child is known by name, and nurtured in the lower grades and challenged as they mature. Focus is on age appropriate methods that build study skills to prepare students for upper grades. By providing a learning environment based on Christian values, we instill a different kind of greatness.
One of Dallas' the best kept secrets is accepting applications for the next school year. Space is limited.
Our last day of class was Friday, May 29th. It has been an exciting year. A new building addition. Games won and lost. Fun field trips and curtains going up. New friendships and lots of laughter. Academically Speaking
The 2009 Iowa test scores show that our 1st – 6th grade students averaged over two grades higher than the grade they are in. For example, our third graders are reading, writing and solving math and science problems at a 5th grade level. If we look at where we stand against the national averages, 50% being normal, our students perform at 95 percent. Learn more »

You Can Help!
Dear Parents and Friends of ORLS,
I cannot begin to count the times I have parents, grandparents, and friends of our school ask if there is something they can purchase for our school. I often do not know what to say right off the top of my head, so I began to put together teacher needs for the upcoming year. I thought it might be a good time to begin to formulate a "wish/need list!" (see attachment below)
As we expand our classes, there are some bigger items that the school and teachers would like to have that are just not in the regular budget. If you would like to help out with any of these items, we would greatly appreciate it! I tried to list a variety of items and price ranges. As you can see, the list is by no means complete! I will continue to add to it and will be sure to subtract from it, when I hear that an item has been purchased. The larger items take several weeks to arrive, so order early!
I have chosen the items from the School Specialty catalog that we generally use. The materials in this catalog are good school quality and last a long time so your money will be well spent and not wasted. Please use their website www.educationessentials.com and log in with this username and password -username: lofrishcmann (yes, wrong spelling), password: welcome123. You will then verify that my name and e-mail are correct. When you place your order you will need to change the billing to your credit card information and billing address. Have the items sent to the school - 7611 Park Lane, Dallas, TX 75225. If you have any problems, feel fre to call the school office.
If this is not something you are interested in, that is fine! If it is, we truly appreciate your help! Please email me at lfrischmann@orlcs.com when you have ordered something so that I can remove that item from the list.
Blessings,
Lois Frischmann, Principal
